Check out Handmade Edinburgh!
I am pleased as punch to be exhibiting within a selected group of artists and makers for Handmade Britain's Scottish showcase right here in the heart of Edinburgh!
Handmade Britain is a brilliant platform, supporting skilled crafters and designers from across the UK and provides a unique opportunity for artists to show off their contemporary collections to an engaging audience. This is the very first time Handmade Britain has brought the show to Edinburgh, having successfully established the well renowned Handmade Britain shows at both Chelsea and Kew Gardens.Set in the wonderfully striking and awe-inspiring interiors of The Hub on Edinburgh's iconic Royal Mile, this showcase of beautiful British Craft is an exhibition not to be missed. This morning I have been excitedly setting up my exhibition space with my Mairi Helena velvet cushions, wallpapers and lampshades as well as my silk scarves and accessories as seen below.
Here's my stand mid flow, in preparation for the show opening evening....
The bit I love: the chance to chat to your fellow exhibitors and the opportunity to meet such wonderful artisan makers along the way!
So this evening the show got off to a brilliant start, with an extremely well attended preview night for invited guests. What a brilliant buzz, a wonderful event celebrating contemporary craft and design right in the heart of Edinburgh.Let me take you for a sneak peek through the golden doors...
I just had to capture Clare Ashton's wonderful feather fascinator!
The show is open from 10am - 6pm from the 28th - 30th October and we would love to see you there! I am at stand M44 right at the front of the entrance hall! Please do come along and say hi to both myself and a wonderful friendly crowd of talented makers, crafters and designers.X
