Tangle Weave Designs has been a buzz of activity over the last few weeks in the run up to Scotland's Trade Fair at the SECC in Glasgow. With the launch of several new products, it's been an exciting time!Scotland's Trade Fair opened it's doors last weekend and I couldn't wait to find out the reception that my products would bring! The fair attracts a wide crowd from around all parts of Scotland and beyond, all keen to visit the 450 exhibitors ranging from well established house hold names to new, innovative young businesses. From buyers, traders, shop owners and interior designers to name a few, the show holds an brilliant positive vibe and showcases a wonderful range of jewellery, gifts, home accessories, clothing and textiles.Very excitingly, I had been given the opportunity to showcase my work within the Launch Gallery for new businesses. I couldn't wait to gain feedback from my new products......and I was so encouraged by the positive results! New for 2015 are my bespoke cushions featuring my Highland Cow, Thistles, Scottish Blackface Ram, Shetland Ponies and Pheasants - I couldn't believe the response and I've been left feeling so enthused by the uptake for my creations!! My cushions fuse my photography with textiles in order to create an original print onto linen, backed by a high quality tartan plaid or Harris Tweed. The Highland Coo in particular was a particular favourite!I have also been developing my imagery into coasters and placemats and I was extremely pleased by how much new home ware gifts were received! I can't wait to get cracking on my orders and to start to see my products appearing in wonderful locations around Scotland!I also launched two new collections of keepsake greetings cards and postcard gift box collections, alongside my current 'From Scotland, With Love' and 'Fife Coastal Pathways' sets. New for 2015 are 'A Woven Cottage Garden' full of bright, cheery flower images as well as 'The Warp & The Woof', my doggy sets which looks to bring a smile to everyone's faces!I'm really looking forward to getting stuck in with all the creative processes and distributing my gifts to my new locations around the country.
