Inspiring Places & Spaces: The Trossachs
Inspiring Places and Spaces: The Trossachs
So after a busy month up and down the M6 to London to exhibit at trade shows Top Drawer and 100% Design, it was lovely to escape for a few days to the calm and tranquility of the Trossachs. There’s something about the cleanness of the air and flourishing landscapes that makes this part of Scotland a particularly inspiring place to go to recharge your batteries.
Seeking Inspiration
I’m often asked where do I get my inspiration from and it’s all around really. Favourite places to visit….the great outdoors….special places to stay….inspiring spaces….
And so I thought I would blog about finding inspiration and hope that it might help you also get those creative juices flowing.
In fact I've come back from my Trossachs trip with so many photographs, I've broken my blog into two parts!
Here's part one!
1. NATURAL LANDSCAPES
A trip to the Trossachs: a perfect opportunity to photograph the textures, colours and patterns of the Scottish landscapes. Particularly at this time of year when the leaves are turning golden at their tips and vibrant colour is everywhere to be found.

2. Country Retreats
My granddad's haven in Strathyre, kept in the family, a unique retreat in the Trossachs. Tucked away on the road from Strathyre to Balquidder, unspoilt and idyllic. Everyone needs a special place…

3. THE GREAT OUTDOORS: OUT & ABOUT
Nothing beats getting out and about in the great outdoors. Whether it's by biking, hiking or a spot of canoeing...
So if you’re stuck in a creative rut, then I hope this blog helps you to discover what to think about to gain your own creative inspiration. Where are you favourite places to stay and visit? Perhaps you have a favourite cafe or restaurant? Art gallery? Or maybe you have a fab ‘go-to’ book, blog or magazine? Make a list, sketch things that inspire you, capture it in photography. Keep a record. I hope this gives you a creative boost! Let me know how you get on and check back later this week for
PART TWO where i reveal to you perhaps the best scottish glamping spot ever for that ultimate romantic getaway!
